Hang Ten: Alisha Lall, MD

Hang Ten is an easily-digested, quick-to-read interview series. I created it to pick the brains of some powerhouse women that I’ve been fortunate enough to know because of SFB. I fire off the questions, you give the answers.

Dr. Alisha Lall, of Fare Well Health

Close to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was on the hunt for a local [female. Duh.] physician to get in touch with. I thought it would be interesting to post some Q&A-style information on SFB… since at the time, social distancing and work from home were still new concepts to us. What a quaint thought.

I came across Dr. Alisha Lall, who owns her own family medicine practice in the Southtowns. Almost immediately, I was drawn to Dr. Lall for her holistic, integrative approach to medicine. After my own struggles with gut health and digestion in the past year or so, I have come to realize how invaluable it is to have a doctor that effortlessly blends traditional medicine with a more functional approach.

That is Alisha, to a T. She is vocal about the more personalized care her patients receive by attending an owner-operated practice, versus one that is part of a larger group model. Also, this has allowed her to infuse her own perspectives on health and wellness into the services provided, which include mental health and health coaching.

It is so reassuring to know that we have modern, brilliant, female minds like Dr. Lall’s emerging as key players within WNY’s healthcare community. I thank her for her thoughtfulness, her intellect, and for being the first subject of Hang Ten [from She’s from Buffalo]!
