I started “She’s from Buffalo” on Instagram in the summer of 2018. Though I was aware of local feminist organizations and publications, I still felt a need for a platform that identified which businesses in our area are owned by women.
The idea was simple, the implementation, seemingly a constant work-in-progress, but my affection for the cause is unwavering.
As for me, I work a 9 to 5 at a local ad agency, freelance as a writer, and most importantly, yes, I’m from [and still reside in] Buffalo.
